Parents and Teacher Role in Child Academic Development

Introduction

Four concepts in this subject need to be comprehensively discussed. These concepts explain the core process of child social-academic development and the role of institutions in this process. Understanding these concepts is important since it will further explain how the factors affecting the development of a child and his subsequent social-academic abilities can be refined and improved. Such improvements would result in better academic performance, academic excellence, and moral uprightness.

The concepts are:

Influence and environmental factors

This is very important in child education and social development. The learning environment forms the platform for the child’s future and future well-being. It is where a child develops behavior, social concepts, and abilities. This is where a child’s role in his life is modeled.

The teaching of psychological/sociological abuse

This concept brings the rationale of training children to desist from irresponsible behaviors, understanding their future roles and place in society. This molds the children to love others, socially integrate, and academically excel. This is important in training the children to be socially and academically successful.

Sustaining our society

Sustenance of social values and conserving the culture of our society is important in molding the children and training them to behave per the social settings, social objectives, and regulations. A conserved society expects morals, dignity, respect, and productivity. Children brought and trained in such a society show industry and discipline and they excel in academia and societal projections.

Safety in schools

Security provides a respite to vices brought to institutions. Vices could be guns, drugs, and materials like pornography. Riding institutions such vices and avenues of supplying such vices guarantees that the children grow in a conducive environment. It ensures their development and awareness about the dangers of these vices.

Why these concepts will apply successfully in school

The use of these concepts supplies the institution with a comprehensive solution to school conflicts with students, drug abuse, irresponsibility, bullying, and other vices. Embracing these will provide the children with a platform for growth into responsible, productive, and academically successful young adults.

Influences and environmental factors

The most important facet in institution structure and student training is the concept of influences and environmental factors. This concept is comprehensive enough to build an institution that can produce successful children both socially and academically. It is effective in ridding schools and the society social misfits.

The fact that children adopt the trends they find in the environment they grow in explains why students exhibit behaviors they adopt from peers. The role of the environment in the development of social skills and discipline largely determines the child’s wellness and largely determines the child’s academic success. Children brought up in happy, conducive, and able backgrounds/environments exhibit fine behavior and social-cognitive skills. However, if these children go to a school that has children from different backgrounds; they’re fine character is quickly eroded with new trends and characters through influences and these dissenting environmental factors. The role of academic institutions should not be merely a child’s academic development but also a platform for his social development.

Why this will apply

Teachers should foster a positive environment for the wellness of the child’s physical, psychological, emotional, and social wellness of the student. Teachers should realize the institution is a social setup that plays the core role in the social development of a child and how the child realizes the social setup. Continuous application of these concepts will help bring up successful children who will be able to avoid indulging in irresponsibility, pursue moral uprightness, discipline, and academic excellence.

Such attributes contribute significantly to the reduction of the cost of securing the school/institution environment, employing guidance and counseling experts, and management of children who are a bad influence to others in the institution. This is because a child’s wellness is mainly determined by a child’s academic success. An institution should be a conducive environment where happiness, inspiration, and concept surround each student. Most institutions are a direct opposite and students may find themselves facing rejection from classmates and even teachers. Students may face rejection, bullying, isolation, and being left out of the institution’s social aspects. Such a case causes psychological-emotional problems with affected students leading to hindrances on a child’s learning ability. This is the platform for vices, drug abuse, academic failure, and poor social skills. As such, the concept of influences and environmental factors will be pivotal in managing, fostering, and implementing modalities, which will make institutions safe and un-discriminative, hence help students study well and cope with a healthy social lifestyle.

My performance and benchmarks in this course

Improvements in these studies can play a role in the development of the same.

Conceptualizing how these tenets play the core role in the development, growth, and adaptation of children explains the role of improving existing structures of fostering these concepts.

The contexts of improving avenues and other modalities of enlightening and training children to be productive and academically functionally should be pursued. Thorough research on key concepts of improving on this should be sought. Improving how students relate in an institution can play a major role in building a ‘teamwork’ concept in the institution. The role of the teamwork principle brings a sense of family and unity in any groupings and students are not omissions.

The unity of students will inspire them to pursue a common goal. Since the model environment they are in is a learning institution, this teamwork concept will effectively inspire them to seek academic progress and success. This inspires these children to be disciplined, objective, and aware of the dangers of engaging in irresponsibility.

How to develop modes of imparting the teamwork tenet in schoolchildren, training them to participate in the development of their welfare in the institution and their society will play a significant role in placing these children in good stead as future role models and stakeholders of our society, institutions, and economy.

As such, means of initiating cohesion among students, training them to acquire various skills, and academically sharpening them will help fill our society with young, responsible people and rid it of crime, illiteracy, and joblessness.

How my performance can contribute to making the course comprehensive to others

This course can be improved to help those who will study it in the future to comprehensively study model theories and concepts of children and behavioral development. My success in this course could have been in the areas of child social development, psychological and academic development through the context of influences and environment.

My reflections about how these two contexts play a role in the development of good behaviors and management of schoolchildren can be used as model theories. The projections made in my papers can be used and improved on to the course. My findings and core research theories can be looked into and further researched to facilitate the implementation of my projections and theories onto this course.

Further research and the use of sample data to test the credibility of my projections will provide the necessary facts that can guide others who are learning and those teaching the same. This can also apply as a model theory in institutions of learning. Teachers and school counselors can depend on this model theory to establish a student’s society that functions as moralists, objective team players, and successful academicians.

How this course could be improved to make it more beneficial

Research and practice to gather sample data meant to establish these paradoxes of learning, dangers of institutions and institutions societies, and the modeling of children through learning institutions should be investigated to provide students with an insight of this comprehensively. This will provide me with the ability to identify methods of resolving students’ conflicts, disabilities, social problems, and development.

Personal performance context

The above projection can provide a teacher with a unique opportunity to identify, diagnose and resolve arising issues of behavior models in school, cause of student’s failure academically, and institutions role in developing children to successful adults.

Research and consistent experiments to identify causes of various arising paradoxes like bullying, drug abuse, sex, and criminal activity can improve my performance and provide the institution with insight into how these ills can be curbed and academic excellence achieved.
